Who are we?
On seeing the great large door of the entrance, we get an idea of what Ca la Viuda promises. At street level is the entrance hall; it is a huge room that keeps inside the remains of the origins of the house. Some remains of constructions dated between the centuries XIII i XIV have been found. A staircase coronated with a splendid dome leads to the first floor.
The house has always belonged to the same family. In its heyday it was built upon the ruins of what were probably the houses of the first inhabitants, and upon the ancient fortress of Tarrés. Thanks to the careful restoration of Ca la Viuda, the ancient noble material and the old remains share protagonism.
Born during the XII century,Tarrés is a pretty village that combines beautiful places with a historical tradition. The stone built houses, the stone paved streets and the famous Monastery of Poblet represents its main attractive places.
